From SEM-REV to Floatgen: CREOCEAN involved in RME
From the SEM-REV test site to Floatgen: CREOCEAN involved in Renewable Marine Energies, key players of the energy transition !
Inaugurated on 13 October 2017 in Saint-Nazaire in the presence of Mr. Lecornu, Secretary of State to the Minister of State, Minister of the Ecological and Solidary Transition, the Floatgen floating wind turbine will be installed off the Le Croisic coast. It will be the first offshore wind turbine that France will host and it will be a floating one.
This event is the culmination of a study and preparation work initiated in 2009, carried out by the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (ECN), and directed by Creocean.
This consulting, expertise and assembly work carried out by Creocean, thanks to its expertise and knowledge of the marine environment, allowed the publication of the SEM-REV site authorization decree, followed by that of Floatgen, the first wind turbine at sea, the first floating wind turbine in France. Now the future is emerging with new prototypes in preparation.
Good wind and good sea to Floatgen!
