SMARTSEA Project is being initiated !

CREOCEAN, in consortium with companies, research centers and universities of Europe (Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, France, Greece, Slovenia, Romania, Poland, Portugal), presented in February 2019 a project within the framework of the call for European projects of the ERASMUS + program.

This project, called SMARTSEA (Surveying & MARiTime Internet of Things EducAtion), was selected from 195 projects submitted. The work of this consortium will start in late 2019 / early 2020 for a period of 3 years.

The SMARTSEA project aims at developing a Master course focused on the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) to the field of maritime surveillance whether infrastructure, ships or the environment that will train people with the skills and knowledge to work in the "Smart Maritime & Surveying" sector. During their course, students will develop prototypes of monitoring tools (new sensors, AUV etc.).

CREOCEAN (Olivier Le Brun, Project Manager in Marine Ecology and Sustainable Development and Olivier Herlory, Research and Innovation Projects Development Officer) will intervene essentially at the end of the course as end user of these prototypes to evaluate their functionality and their potential to marketing.
